Part 3 Grading:
Your painting and written report will be evaluated as follows:
Do they reflect knowledge and understanding of the novel? (50%)
Do they show effort (thoughtfulness, neatness, attractiveness)? (25%)
The paragraph will be evaluated for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. as well as effective organization. (25%)

- In Art class, you will: Create an original painting showing an important or favorite scene / event from the book.
- On a separate piece of paper, type 2-3 paragraphs answering the following questions. This will serve as the basis for your Art Gallery Presentation to the other classes.
- What scene / event did you represent in your painting? What character(s) are involved (if any)?
- Why did you choose this scene / event to paint? How is it important?
- How does the scene / event you’ve chosen help others to understand the book?
- In what style is your scene painted? What artist(s) work inspired your painting?
- Was it challenging to represent that scene / event in a painting? Why or why not?
- Was it fun to paint that scene / event? Why or why not?
Part 3 Grading:
